I really like to read!! Here are a couple of books ive read and what i thought of them (btw im really bad at writing reviews on things but this is just for fun so who cares)
This is honestly less of a four star and more like three point five. It started off really boring, it took like a month to get through that part tbh. Then about a third of the way in it became a lot more engaging thankfully, although the end was a little too fast paced. Tbh that's all i have to say about it nothing really stood out to me it was a fine book idk. Also the main character (Snow) gave me so much second hand embarrassment throughout this book lmao.
I mean it was fine. The main character was not super interesting, i mean i didn't hate her but i didn't love her either. It was an easy read which can be good or bad depending on what you like. For some reason the book kinda felt like a fantasy book for people who don't really read fantasy, that wasn't bad but not really my thing. I kinda wished the world building was a little more grand idk. I mean I didn't not enjoy reading the book, but i wasn't really that invested. Also i can't even remember what the plot was like.
This the second book in the cruel prince series, (whatever its called) and honestly i can barely remember a thing that happened in this book. The characters got soooo annoying. I literally hated them all. Also I think the romance began to take off in this book, and god I hated the romance. She's annoying as fcuk and he's a complete asshole, so I guess they're perfect for eachother! Alo i think it was in this book (or one of them idk) where they had this huge problem and then suddenly they had a super simple solution out of nowhere but the way it happened just annoyed me, like “oh no how will we everrrr solveeee thisss? Nevermind turns out the guy has super magic yippee!” Yeah I don't think I have anything else to say.
This is the last book in the cruel prince series and I hated it. I actually dnfed this book like 75% through so if the ending was amazing or whatever (which I highly doubt) I'm sorry (i'm not). Once again HATED the characters, they were all sooooo annoying, and if there was a character who wasn't absolutely insufferable they were not memorable, cause i do not remember them. Also the plot felt too linear? Idk exactly how to describe it but idk it felt way too straightforward and kinda empty to me, they were just kinda going from one place to another. Also nothing felt really fleshed out or developed at all? Who the fuck makes the last book in a fantasy series the shortest? Also this is a personal thing but i hate when the author describes every person, he's blue, she has wings and blah blah blah I DON'T CARE. Like if that was the vibe of the book, spend two pages describing a wall for all I care BUT IT'S NOT, like everything is described as if it were new to the protagonist, girl you lived there your entire life? How is this new to you?Am I making any sense? Idk anyways. Oh a last thing, i hate hate hate when theres this whole plot with the guy becoming kind and her being in charge and doing whatever the fuck she does WHILE THEYRE IDIOTIC 17 YEAR OLDS. You're not cool or badass and least of all capable of ruling a country (or whatever tf she does who knows) like if I were the council (or whoever idk nothing in this story was memorable) I wouldn't trust her either!!! I feel like the last one is a problem with ya idk i prefer adult fantasy. Anyways I hated it's less of a 2 stars and more of a 1.5 it wasn't the most painful thing to read, although I regret staying up until 3 am to do so. Overall this book was definitely not good enough to make up for how angry it made me.
